Café · Bakery · Since 1974
Coffee the way it should be.
We roast in house, we serve you standing at the counter, and we know your name by the second visit.
Scroll slowly
We invented nothing.
We just never changed what was already right. The same machine since 1974, the same marble counter, the same opening hour. What changed is the bean: today we roast in house, every week.
Roasted here
A few metres from the counter, weekly.
Baked that morning
Made early, gone by the afternoon.
No rush
The espresso is drunk standing. The conversation sits down.
Inside
Three things you can see from here

The roast
The roaster is in the back room
Beans arrive on Tuesday and reach the cup on Friday. One lot of Brazil and Ethiopia, roasted lighter than most, so it never tastes burnt. You can watch it work through the open door.

The counter
Marble from 1974, machine from 1974
The Faema is still the original. Dona Fernanda pulls the shot in 25 seconds without looking at the clock, and gets it right.

The pastry
Made in the morning, finished in the afternoon
The custard tarts come out at 7:40 and 15:30. When they run out, they run out. There is no freezer.
