Wine bar and bottle shop · Aveiro
We open the cask. You do the tasting.
Sixty wines from Bairrada and Dão, twelve by the glass every night, and small plates that don't steal the show. Two minutes from the Central Canal.

Tuesday to Saturday, from 6 pm
The name
A pipa is where wine waits. A prova is when it stops waiting.
We opened in 2019 in an old hardware shop on Rua Direita, with one simple idea: pour by the glass the wines you can usually only buy by the bottle.
Marta picks the wines, visits the growers and writes the list by hand every week. João looks after the food and the music, which is never too loud to talk over.

Everything we pour by the glass can be bought to take away. We choose small growers who sell little outside the region and almost nothing in supermarkets.
